The majority of the seizure was, according to the Hong Kong Customs Authority, on its way to the World Cup hosts Mexico, the USA and Canada.
Among the goods were around 30,000 counterfeit match shirts that the authorities said were so well-made they were difficult to distinguish from genuine shirts.
During the operation, a truck driver was arrested at the border between China and Macau, and five more people were arrested on suspicion of being involved in selling the goods online.
The maximum penalty for trading in counterfeit goods in Hong Kong is five years in prison and a $64,000 fine, equivalent to just over 600,000 SEK.
