In Biblioteksbladet's annual survey, more library directors say they are able to maintain operations compared with last year. In 2025, 63.9 percent said they were able to maintain the same level as the year before - this year that figure is 75.5 percent.
The proportion unable to maintain the same level as before has dropped from 22.1 to 12.7 percent.
This points to a more manageable situation for libraries, although a significant minority still cannot make the numbers work, the newspaper writes.
229 public library managers, nearly 80 percent, responded to the newspaper's survey.
