On Friday evening, many people gathered at the memorial site that the municipality had prepared.

"There will be a completely different atmosphere in Fagersta. You can see that everyone is sad," 16-year-old Elsa Bergkvist tells SVT.

Fagersta resident Lana Halabiah, who attends Brinell School, was also present. She was not at school when the attack occurred.

We are here to remember those who died and those who were injured, she tells SVT.

She says it was difficult to sit outside the school without knowing what had happened to her friends inside.

Two boys aged 12 and 17 remain seriously injured after the attack. A third person, also under 18, was slightly injured and has been released from hospital.
