National team forward Fabian Zetterlund, 25, will stay in NHL and Ottawa.
Zetterlund has written a three-year contract worth equivalent to 124 million kronor.
According to the newspaper Ottawa Citizen, the contract is clear and signed.
The 25-year-old Swedish forward was traded to Ottawa from San Jose just before the transfer window closed and the former Färjestad player made a total of 19 goals and 41 points in 84 matches during the past season.
Zetterlund almost triples his salary and the contract gives him an average of 4.275 million dollars per season, equivalent to just over 41 million kronor.
Fabian Zetterlund took World Championship bronze with Tre Kronor in 2024 and was also in the championship the year before.
