F1 has released the schedule for 2026 and it is clear that the classic Imola track in Italy is being removed. The track, which has been used in different eras since 1980, is replaced by Madrid which will make its debut.
The reason for Imola's disappearance is that there is already a race in Italy, the one that is decided on the Monza track. Spain, on the other hand, will have two races in 2026 since Barcelona has a contract for one more year.
The new race in Madrid will also take Barcelona's former name "Spanish Grand Prix".
