The announcement comes after Ringhals took a turbine in reactor 4 out of service on Saturday due to a leak in a generator.
The problem with the reactor comes at a time when half of Sweden's nuclear power reactors are closed for maintenance.
The halted nuclear power production, combined with low levels in water reservoirs, is pushing up electricity prices, especially in southern Sweden.
