At least one person has been killed and seven injured in the explosion, Syrian state media reports. It was an explosive device that detonated on a bus in Jaramana, southeast of Damascus, a source with insight into the TV channel tells the channel.
Several ambulances were initially called to the scene, according to an AFP photographer on site.
Many Druze, one of the country's minorities, live in the suburb of Jaramana. No group has claimed responsibility for the suspected attack.
