The ship was sailing through the strait, just off Oman, when two explosions were heard.
"The report confirms that the crew and the vessel are safe. No environmental damage has been reported," UKMTO wrote on Thursday night.
It is unclear what caused the explosions, but Iran has repeatedly attacked ships it considers to be not following approved routes through the Strait of Hormuz.
