Ukraine under attack as multiple explosions hit Kyiv and Kharkiv

Several explosions have been heard in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, an AFP journalist reports, after residents were warned of incoming ballistic missiles.

Several buildings have been hit in the attacks, Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klychko said on Telegram.

Kharkiv is also under attack, reports the public service company Suspilne.
