Several explosions were heard in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv overnight Thursday, according to journalists at the AFP news agency.
The city's mayor, Vitali Klitschko, writes on Telegram that Kyiv is "under attack with ballistic missiles and drones."
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned on Wednesday that Russia was planning a "massive attack" against the country.
