Trump's statements come after another night of deadly Russian attacks on Kyiv and other cities in Ukraine.

Effective defense
Zelenskyy has said that Ukraine cannot defend itself against ballistic missiles because the country lacks ammunition. The American Patriot is seen as an effective defence in such situations.
Trump also sounded hopeful that the end of the war may be near.
