Several residents in the area alerted about a loud bang just after 11 pm on Saturday evening. The police could quickly establish that an explosion had occurred outdoors – and that another suspected hazardous object was found.
We have contacted and informed all who live there and told them to stay away from the windows. It's hard to say how many are affected, it's a two- or three-story building I think, says Johan Ljung.
No one has been injured in connection with the bang.
The National Bomb Protection has been called to the scene to examine the object. The police have cordoned off a larger area.
We have frozen the situation there. The technicians will be allowed to go there when we have neutralized or picked up the other object, if it is harmless, says Ljung.
