Several people alerted to a loud bang just after 11 pm on Saturday evening. The police could quickly establish that an explosion had occurred outdoors – and that another suspected hazardous object that had not detonated was found at the scene.
We have informed and contacted all who live there and told them to stay away from the windows, said Johan Ljung, duty officer at the police, in connection with the incident.
At 04.30, the national bomb squad had finished working at the scene and only minor cordons remained.
They disarmed and took with them what we believed was a hazardous object that was left. A bomb dog has been used to search so that no more trouble is left there, says Johan Ljung.
No one was injured in connection with the explosion and the building suffered limited material damage. It is unclear exactly what exploded.
As I understand it, it is shrapnel that hit the facade, says Ljung.
No one has been arrested suspected of the crime. A report on reckless endangerment and offense against the law on explosive goods has been filed.
