The explosion damaged the stairwell door and the facade at the gate.
No one is reported to have been injured. The property has been cordoned off for further investigation, says police spokesperson Leif Fransson.
The National Bomb Protection Unit and forensic experts are on site, and apartments in two stairwells in the property have been evacuated.
