Sahlgrenska University Hospital's press service told Göteborgs-Posten that the man, who is in his 50s, is slightly injured.
The explosion is believed to have been caused by gasoline vapors that ignited while refueling the boat at a marina.
The alarm about the accident came in at 4:15 p.m. on Sunday.
