The alarm was received around 3 a.m. on Monday after a bang was heard near a villa.
It is a bit unclear what exploded, but it was likely something that was thrown into the villa that started a fire, says Mikael Lundqvist, duty officer at the rescue service.
The fire had been extinguished by 4 a.m. No one was injured in the incident. The police write on their website that door-to-door checks and review of video footage in the area are ongoing.
The incident is being investigated as a serious public danger and a serious violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
