Something exploded at a home in Tygelsjö in Malmö on Friday evening, the police said on their website.
There are no reports of anyone being injured.
"At the scene, patrols have determined that something exploded. Barriers are being set up and the surrounding area is being searched," the police wrote.
By 10 p.m., the operation had ended.
