A detonation has occurred in an apartment, likely due to a hand grenade, says a leading operator at the rescue service to Aftonbladet.
The police do not want to comment on what exploded.
I'm not going to go into exactly what it is, says Anna Westberg, press spokesperson at the Stockholm police.
No one was home at the time of the explosion and no one was physically injured. A window is said to have been damaged after the blast.
We have just completed the technical investigation. We are working further with the information we have gathered so far. No one has been arrested yet, says Westberg.
The same address was targeted in January this year, according to Sveriges Radio P4 Stockholm. No one was injured then either.
A preliminary investigation into reckless endangerment and serious offenses against the law on flammable and explosive goods has been initiated.
The police do not want to comment on any potential motives.
We are mapping out why it happened here and now, which includes investigating who is registered here, potential threat images, and other circumstances. It's nothing I can comment further on with regard to the investigation, says Westberg.
