"At 00.07 we received several calls from residents who heard a loud bang in a residential area. When police arrived, we were able to determine that an explosion had occurred at a gate," police spokesperson Per Fahlström said.
The police first opened a preliminary investigation into public danger, destruction and a serious violation of the Flammable and Explosive Goods Act, but then changed the classification to a serious unlawful threat and a violation of the Flammable and Explosive Goods Act.
The crime scene is cordoned off and we will conduct a technical investigation and question witnesses, Per Fahlström said.
No one was injured in the explosion and no one has been arrested.
