A building is suspected to have been hit in an attack in northern Israel. In a post on X, emergency services said one person suffered minor injuries after stepping on shrapnel at the scene.
In Iraq, seven members of the Iran-backed Shiite militia, the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), were killed in a U.S. strike, militia sources say. At least one of those killed is said to have been a high-ranking member. At least 13 other members were wounded.
Iran-backed militias in Iraq have previously targeted American targets in the country, including the U.S. embassy in Baghdad.
