We received good witness information and had a fairly large resource on site quickly. In the subsequent operation, we were able to apprehend a suspected perpetrator, says Ola Österling, press spokesperson for the police.
No one was injured in connection with the explosion.
There is damage to the door, but no major damage to the property, says the police's press spokesperson Rebecca Landberg.
The arrested person has been taken to the police station and will be questioned and examined for traces, the police write on their website. Several people have also been checked and some have been temporarily detained for questioning.
The alarm about the incident came at 21:30 on Tuesday. The police's bomb technicians and forensic technicians are working on the site.
Earlier in the evening, at around 20:00, an explosion occurred in a stairwell in Farsta in southern Stockholm. No one was injured in the explosion, which caused minor damage to the property.
We are ruling out nothing at present and are naturally looking into whether there could be any connection, says Ola Österling.
We will continue working on both of these operations throughout the night.
