Several callers called to say that they had heard a loud bang in the villa area and when the patrol arrived, they found damage to one of the houses. There was damage to the door, a veranda has been destroyed and windows, says Thomas Söderberg, duty officer at the police.
No person is believed to have been in the villa when the explosion occurred.
It looks like someone has placed something explosive outside the door, so it was lucky that no one was standing by the door because the glass in the door shattered and was thrown inward, says Thomas Söderberg.
A crime scene investigation has been conducted and the national bomb squad has been called in. It is still unknown why that particular villa was affected.
It is not an obvious target as we see it, not linked to any network that we know of, but the investigation will show if there is a reason or if they made a mistake, says Thomas Söderberg.
A preliminary investigation into reckless endangerment has been initiated.
