The police were alerted just before 10 pm on Wednesday after several people called and reported loud bangs in the neighborhood.
It's something that has exploded in connection with a residential building in an area with villas and townhouses. It has, among other things, resulted in window panes shattering, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson for the police, to TT.
The incident is being investigated as reckless endangerment and a crime against the law on fire hazardous and explosive goods. There is currently no information that anyone has been physically injured in the explosion.
It's cordoned off and a technical investigation will be conducted. We will be knocking on doors and holding interrogations, says Per Fahlström.
The national bomb squad has been called in to investigate the cordoned-off area, writes the police on their website.
The police are looking for one or more perpetrators. No one has been arrested.
