An explosion occurred during the night to Saturday in an apartment building in Marieberg on Kungsholmen in central Stockholm.
We had a number of callers who heard a loud bang at 00.12, and when we arrived on the scene, something had exploded near a door. No one is physically injured, but glass windows have been damaged to the door and a car that was parked nearby has been damaged, says Carina Skagerlind, press spokesperson at the Stockholm police.
The national bomb squad has been called to the scene and a large police operation is underway in the area during the night.
No one is currently detained, but the work continues and we have initiated an investigation regarding general endangerment and serious crime according to the law on fire hazardous and explosive goods, says Carina Skagerlind.
