The police were alerted to a suspicious explosion at 5 p.m. When they arrived at the villa, they found that a detonation had occurred. No one was injured in the incident.
"Something detonated outside the villa's entrance door. One person was inside the villa and is physically unharmed," says police spokesperson Evelina Olsson.
The front door is damaged and some windows are broken, she adds.
The police have cordoned off the villa and, as is routine, have called in the national bomb squad to check the scene.
The incident is being investigated as a public nuisance, but no one has been arrested. According to police, it is too early to say whether there is any threat against anyone at the address.
