An explosion has occurred at an ammunition factory in the Russian city of Kopeysk, approximately 160 miles from the Ukrainian border. The cause of the incident is initially unknown.

Several clips on social media suggest that explosions and a fire have occurred at the factory, reports BBC, which has verified a surveillance video and clips filmed from a moving car in the vicinity.

Kremlin-loyal news agency Izvestija reports on two explosions at a facility in the city on Wednesday evening and that twelve people have been killed.

According to the governor of the Chelyabinsk region, ten people have been killed and twelve are missing.
