At 03:30, an alarm about a loud bang was received, and when the police arrived at the scene, they could confirm that something had exploded in or near a gate at the address.

No one was injured in the explosion, but the detonation has caused material damage to the property.

It is unclear how extensive the damage is, but it is not extreme in any case. No evacuation of the area was necessary, says police spokesperson Katarina Rusin.

The national bomb squad investigated the scene during the night but was able to conclude their work at around 05:00. It is still unclear what exploded and why the object was placed near the apartment building.

What is happening now is that technicians will go to the scene to see if they can secure any traces. We will also investigate if there is any threat against someone in the apartment building, says Rusin.

Just before 04:00, a taxi was stopped at Rosengård's center with a 14-year-old boy inside, who was taken in for questioning.

There are several things in the investigation that led to the arrest. We have, among other things, used our own cameras and followed movements to and from the scene.

He is now suspected of reckless endangerment and offenses against the law on flammable and explosive goods, according to the police.
