The Armed Forces are very secretive about the incident itself, which is said to have occurred at around 4 p.m. on Thursday.
"I can confirm that seven people are injured and have been taken to hospital. They are not conscripts but employees, but we cannot say whether they are officers or ordinary soldiers," says Mikael Ågren, duty communications officer at the Armed Forces, to TT.
Skaraborg Hospital told TT at 8 p.m. that four of the injured were receiving intensive care, but later changed its statement to say that five injured people were receiving intensive care.
"I can confirm that we have received seven injured people, all men in their twenties to thirties, two of whom have minor injuries. The five who are in intensive care have serious but not life-threatening injuries," says Camilla Silvesjö, head of communications at Skaraborg Hospital.
The police are investigating the incident as a workplace accident. According to the Armed Forces, the people are being treated for shrapnel injuries, among other things, writes SVT Väst .

The Life Regiment Hussars, K3, is the regiment stationed at Karlsborg Fortress.
