The area has been cordoned off. The bomb squad will arrive in due course to assess what may have detonated. They have worked and continue to search for the perpetrator. There is no suspect at this time," says Adam Isaksson Samara, press spokesman for the police.
The alarm came in at 11:14 p.m. when nearby residents reported hearing a bang and glass breaking.
No one was injured in the incident. Police are conducting door-to-door checks, among other measures.
The incident is being investigated as endangering public safety and as a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
