We received an alarm about a loud bang at 4 p.m., and our staff on site can confirm that there has been some kind of explosion, says Mattias Sköld, duty officer at the rescue service.
There is reportedly a lot of broken glass in the street, but no one has been injured, according to the fire department.
National bomb disposal technicians were called to the scene, and residents were urged to stay indoors and away from windows.
At 18:15, the police announced that the technicians had finished and that no further dangerous objects had been found. The cordon and evacuation had been lifted.
No one is suspected in the case.
