A window pane has been broken, and the police describe the damage to the gate itself as "minor."
The alarm about the incident came in just after 1 a.m.
"We have cordoned off the crime scene to conduct an investigation and secure leads. We have initiated a hunt for the perpetrator or perpetrators. We have not arrested anyone at this time, but we are working on it," says Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson for the police.
Witness interviews have been held and the police have also checked vehicles.
The incident is being investigated as a public danger and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods.
