According to the police, the explosion took place outside a property with both apartments and businesses at 4 a.m. The incident is classified as general dangerous destruction and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Substances.
There is minor material damage, but no personal injuries, says Magnus Jansson Klarin, press spokesperson for the Central region.
The police have checked a number of people, but no one has been arrested. A technical examination will be carried out in the morning when it gets light.
The location has been cordoned off. National bomb disposal units have been informed but not activated.
