At 11:43 p.m., an alarm was raised that something had exploded at a gate to an apartment building in Upplands Väsby municipality.
Witnesses have seen an unknown person handling an object, and we are now searching for that person, said Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesman for the police.
About an hour earlier, at 10:24 p.m., the first explosion occurred in the neighboring municipality of Sollentuna.
Something exploded in a shared parking lot with a carport in a residential area, said Daniel Wikdahl.
Both incidents are being investigated as serious public destruction. No one is reported to have been injured in the explosions.
We are treating them as separate events, but will investigate them further.
