The police were alerted to the explosion at 5:15 a.m. Sunday. Callers reportedly heard a loud bang.
Glass windows on a building were broken.
"Something has exploded. There are some broken windows in an industrial building and some damage to a gate," said Daniel Wikdahl, press spokesman for the Stockholm Police.
No one was injured in the explosion. The police are classifying the incident as public destruction and a felony under the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods, but no one has been arrested.
