An explosion has occurred at a residence in Södertälje. There are no reports of injuries.

The alarm about the explosion in the Lina Hage area came at 5 p.m. on Saturday.

It is adjacent to a detached house, says police spokesperson Nadya Norton.

No one was injured, but there was material damage to the house.

Including broken window panes.

The police are investigating the incident as a public nuisance. Nadya Norton does not want to comment on whether anyone has been detained.

The site is cordoned off for a technical investigation. The National Bomb Squad has been called in to investigate what exploded.

This year, several acts of violence have occurred in Lina Hage. Nadya Norton says it is too early to answer whether Saturday's explosion can be linked to previous events.
