Late Sunday night, something exploded near a car in Borås. A VMA, an important message to the public, was issued and residents were urged to stay indoors. By 2:30 a.m., the danger was over, reports Borås Tidning.

The VMA was issued at 00:30 on Monday night.

"It cannot be ruled out that there may be something else that could explode or detonate in the area," said Johan Josarp, police officer on duty, before the danger was considered over.

The police were alerted to the incident at 11:20 p.m. on Sunday evening.

We note that something has detonated near a car. There is only material damage, no injuries.

The area was cordoned off, and the National Bomb Squad arrived at the scene. Shortly after 5 a.m., all cordons were lifted and the police had left the scene.

The incident is being investigated as a serious act of public destruction and a violation of the Act on Flammable and Explosive Goods. No one has been arrested, and there is no suspect.

We continue to work in the area here with the hunt, and we hear people, some knocking on doors, says Josarp.
