Oil prices rise as Iran war drags on, with peace talks off the table

This comes after both the US and Iran downplayed the prospects for talks between the warring parties, and US President Donald Trump threatened new major attacks on Iran if the Iran-backed Houthi movement in Yemen carries out its threats against ships picking up cargo in Saudi Arabia seriously.

Investment banks Bernstein and Goldman Sachs warn that the price of North Sea oil could rise above $100 if disruptions due to the war continue.

Higher oil prices are putting upward pressure on Swedish gasoline and diesel prices.
