"Children should be moving, not standing in line. But that requires space for the country's sports clubs. The government's investment of 250 million in 2026 and 2027 is a good start, but these are issues we need to work on over several years," says Anna Iwarsson, chairwoman of RF.

RF says that the situation is essentially unchanged since 2022, when the survey was last conducted.

The survey responses also show that 40 percent of sports clubs report a major need to renovate their facilities.
