Evander Kane to Sign With KHL Team After NHL Clubs Pass on Him

Scandal-hit player Evander Kane is moving to Russia. According to agent Dan Milstein, the 35-year-old will sign with a KHL team.

Dan Milstein discusses the controversial move on the Daily Faceoff podcast, according to Aftonbladet.

“We had a few clubs in North America, but he has decided to continue in the KHL,” says Milstein.

Kane was once considered one of the NHL’s brightest stars, but in recent years the focus has shifted from his performances on the ice to other matters.

In 2022, he was suspended and fired by San Jose after sending the league a fake vaccination certificate.

In 2019, he was sued by a major casino in Las Vegas. A couple of years later, he was declared personally bankrupt, with debts equivalent to approximately SEK 250 million.

He has also made headlines for a stormy divorce and recurring fights with teammates.
