A number of people were evacuated from their homes in connection with an apartment fire on Gärdet in central Stockholm on Sunday evening.
They gathered in a local opposite, waiting to be allowed to return to their apartments, says Marie Nordahl, operations manager at the rescue service, who says she does not know if anyone was physically injured.
The alarm came at 22.36 and the building was filled with thick smoke, making evacuation necessary.
The fire is out and the rescue service is clearing the smoke.
