Eva Lindström receives the Selma Lagerlöf Literature Prize 2025.
She receives it "for her multifaceted picture book creation, where both life's big questions and great humor are accommodated in the interaction between words and images", as it is stated, among other things, in the motivation.
Picture book author Eva Lindström received the August Prize in 2013 and also the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award nine years later. Among her most well-known books are "My Friend Lage" and "The Bridge".
The Selma Lagerlöf Literature Prize is awarded by a foundation with the same name since 1984. The prize amount of 100,000 kronor is given to authors who work in the spirit of Selma Lagerlöf. The prize has in recent years gone to, among others, Steve Sem-Sandberg and Inger Edelfeldt.
