Eurozone inflation fell to an annual rate of 2 percent in December, preliminary figures from Eurostat show. This was a decrease from November's figures and in line with analysts' expectations.
Core inflation, meanwhile, was 2.3 percent annually, down from 2.4 percent. This was slightly lower than expected, according to a Bloomberg report.
