Eurozone inflation fell to 1.9 percent year-on-year in December, according to final figures from Eurostat. This is slightly below the previous estimate of 2.0 percent.
Core inflation ended at 2.3 percent, as previously estimated. The European Central Bank's inflation target is 2.0 percent.
