40 investigators from 18 countries and organizations have conducted the investigation, which is based on open sources.

45 children have been identified as forcibly transferred from Ukraine to Russia, Belarus, or Russian-occupied areas of Ukraine.

The investigation examined transport routes, orphanages, military units, collection points, and digital platforms that had published images of missing Ukrainian children.

More than 19,500 children are estimated to have been forcibly displaced in connection with Russia's occupation of Ukrainian territories.

Many children have been adopted by Russian guardians, placed in psychiatric care, or forced to enlist in the Russian army.
