The decreased interest from European side to travel to USA persists. Ahead of the autumn period, the number of bookings is down by 11 percent, according to Cirium, an analysis company focused on the aviation industry.

The largest decline is seen from Germany, 13 percent fewer bookings than the previous year, while Spain and Italy see a decline of 9 and 7.6 percent, respectively.

After Donald Trump won the presidential election, it has been reported that people from Europe have become more hesitant to travel to the USA. Several countries, such as Germany, Denmark, and Finland, have also issued regulations regarding travel to the USA due to, among other things, stricter border controls and people being arrested upon entry.

The figures are based on bookings made between June 30 and August 31 for trips during the period September–November.
