It was on Sunday that Petter Engdahl won bronze in the Up & Down event over 13 kilometers, only beaten by Swiss Dominik Rolli and Spain's gold medalist Jan Torrella.
The bronze was Sweden's third podium finish in the championship, which is a new Swedish medal record in a trail event. During the first day of the European Championships, Petter Engdahl took silver in Uphill Mountain and on Saturday Emma Eriksson took bronze in the 52-kilometer race.
"We are incredibly proud and satisfied with everyone's efforts. Everyone really gave it their all and fought for every place, and that applies to the entire championship," writes team manager Karl Avedal in a press release.
