European Committee of Social Rights says Sweden denied EU migrants equal care

The Committee believes that Sweden has been guilty of several violations of the European Social Charter.

It claims that vulnerable EU citizens have been treated worse than other people living without papers and that Sweden has charged them different fees for healthcare.

Most of those affected identify as Roma. Therefore, the Committee believes that Sweden has also been guilty of indirect discrimination based on ethnicity.
