"We will this week provide advice to airlines on jet fuel and other issues also linked to the crisis," said Anna-Kaisa Itkonen, spokesperson for energy, at Monday's daily Commission briefing in Brussels.
The Commission is monitoring developments in close cooperation with Member States, the International Energy Agency (IEA) and industry representatives in a dedicated Oil Coordination Group, which will next meet on Thursday, 7 May.
"No one knows how long this situation will last, so the best thing we can do is prepare for all options," said Itkonen.
