Growth in the euro zone increased more than previous calculations showed, according to revised figures from the statistics office Eurostat.

Compared to the previous quarter, growth was 0,6 percent in the first quarter of the year, according to Eurostat. This can be compared to a preliminary figure of plus 0,3 percent.

In annual rate, growth was 1,5 percent, compared to 1,2 percent in an earlier calculation.

Household consumption in the first quarter in the euro zone increased by 0,2 percent compared to the previous quarter. Exports from the euro zone increased by 1,9 percent compared to the previous quarter, while imports increased by 1,4 percent.
