The inflation rate in the euro area rose to 2.0 percent in June compared to 1.9 percent in May, according to new statistics from Eurostat.
This was in line with market expectations and was the same figure as the quick estimate previously reported. The highest inflation figure, 5.8 percent, was found in Romania while it was lowest in Switzerland (0.2 percent).
