According to the EU commissioner, European companies are calling for easier access to the Chinese market and stronger protection of their economic interests.
During his visit to China, Maroš Šefčovič will hold talks with the country's Minister of Commerce, Wang Wentao. The agenda includes managing the EU's trade deficit with China, estimated at more than a billion dollars a day. Another issue is possible restrictions on EU imports of Chinese hybrid cars.
